Cruel Intentions is about Kathryn Mertuil conniving with Sebastian Valmont, her stepbrother, to take revenge on Court, her former boyfriend who dumped her on the 4th of July, for Cecile, an innocent young girl. She tells Sebastian that to take revenge on Court, he must conquer Cecile and in exchange he can conquer her as well. The problem is, Sebastian does not love Cecile, he is in love with Annette Hargrove, the new Headmaster's daughter.
