Calling all actors and playwrights!

Two awesome opportunities for young actors and playwrights:

1. MCC Theater’s Youth Company
   • “A free, after-school program for New York City high school students, the MCC Theater Youth Company (YC) is looking for teens interested in developing their acting and dramatic writing skills.”
   • Two options:
     • Acting Lab (meets Tuesdays from 4:30pm-6:30pm)
       • Through weekly workshops and special master classes, Acting Lab members collaborate to create original monologues, scenes, and performance pieces, leading up to their annual spring production of UnCensored.
     • Playwriting Lab (meets Wednesdays from 4:30pm-6:30pm)
       • Playwriting Lab members develop their own original scripts in weekly workshops with professionals who help bring their works to life. Completed plays are entered in the Summer FreshPlay Festival
   • HOW TO JOIN?
     • COME to the info session and audition (no preparation necessary)
     • TUESDAY October 4th from 4:30-6:30PM
     • CHELSEA STUDIOS – 151 West 26 St (btwn 6/7 Aves) – 6th Floor
2. The Possibility Project
   • A youth-led program that uses the performing arts to empower teenagers to change their lives and their communities.
   • Two options (both run from October to June):
     • Saturday program (weekly, Saturdays from 10:30am-5:30pm)
     • Tuesday/Thursday program (weekly, Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30pm-7:30pm)
   • HOW TO JOIN?
     • OPEN GROUP AUDITION:
       • Saturday OCTOBER 1st from 11pm-1pm
       • AT EAST SIDE COMMUNITY HS – 420 East 12th St. (btwn 1st Ave. and Ave. A)
