She is a flower spelled incorrectly, J-A-Z-M-I-N Luperena. She is a 17 year old Brooklyn native and currently studying Sociology at Hunter college. Her passion lies in God and acting. She is awkward and different but is very comfortable in her own skin and encourages every one else to be the same. She is a free spirit filled with positive vibes open for new adventures and an eagerness to learn. She will change the world through the platform of influence that comes with acting. She is a hungry, thrift shopping, longboarder ready to leave her footprints on the world!! :)
It’s always an anxious feeling when bringing a non-theatre person to the theatre because you want to make sure they’re entertained...
How many times we gotta applaud a fish for swimming or give out chances for trying TO BE A DECENT HUMAN BEING when we been nothing but good the whole time. 👏🏽
Getting into the waiting area was blessed itself. So many Afrocentric humans with knowledge in their skull and flames in their heart... ahh, felt so at home...
Three sisters, all tough little cookies... it's crazy, just their personalities alone. They are all tomboys, I realize that their physique is also pretty boyish too. It's visually appealing to me. I'm the one with the boy cut... Francesca :)
"You traveled all the way across America to see me."
"I wanted to see tea leaves."
Well, Nina and her monkey. No. Not a real monkey. Sorry for killing your dreams. Nina is a ventriloquist. So basically she and her monkey had a conversation with the audience where the monkey continuously interrupted her.
She began speaking... to me... obviously, cus there was no one else in the room... "What's this feeling? I remember it just like it was yesterday. Almost like deja vu." Was this lady crazy??? Naw, she was just old. Stated that she was around 101 years old... "Do you remember the last time you voted?" Well I'm only 18...
Every moment is a key decision whether it feels like it’s one or not. William spoke to this young man about what many would say is a key decision: marriage. But is marriage the key decision? Or the engagement? What about the time you first met your partner? Those are all key decisions.
I'm group leader for a group of 8-9 year olds at Goddard Riverside Performing Arts Camp. We were taking our kids to see Matilda, a show which we had learned a song and dance from. You already know they were on tilt and they even got dressed up. All I'm thinking is - ugh, I gotta take these kids on the train to Time Square. But my group behaved really well.
So this teacher is funny, always rambling on, half the time being irrelevant or unprepared. And it's like I'm not teaching cus I'm perfect I'm just as fucked up as you. "You didn't come here to listen to me give speeches instead you came to listen to yourself. Your true self. Not your habits. Not who you are with electronics, alcohol or sex but what your darkest fears are etc..."
