Q: How did you hear about 39 Steps?

A: One of my friends is working on it, he is a board op. He asked me if I wanted to come see it, so here I am.

Q: Knowing someone who is working on the show do you have any expectations about what it will be like?

A: I think it is going to be a lot of fun. I’ve heard there are a lot of characters and there are a lot of costume changes—I’m interested to see how that works. I’m also a playwright, I tend to write bigger shows, so I think it will be insightful to see a show like this.

Q: As someone who is involved in the theater world what kinds of things are you looking for when you come and see a show?

A: I’m also a stage manager so I’m looking for all the technical things. I just can’t not see shows like that anymore. I also look for a really good show that captures me and keeps me in it the whole time. That is important to me, that to me says that it is good storytelling.
