Q: What are your expectations about what you might see tonight?
A: It is going to be dark, twisted, uncomfortably funny and challenging—which is essentially all Nat Cassidy plays and ultimately Nat Cassidy himself.
Q: Why is it important to come see small independent theaters?
A: It is essential. This is where real theater is happening. Everything else you see on Broadway, or even Off-Broadway now is very pre-packaged. You are actually seeing what theater is supposed to be in indie theater like The Brick. It is more uncompromising, more professional in the way that they are tackling subject matters that other people are uncomfortable tackling – until indie theater gives it a pass. When they see that it is successful here, then everybody cherry-picks it.
