Q: What brings you out to the show tonight?

A: I’m an intern at The Public and I’m on book.

Q: What exactly does that mean?

A: Since this is a work that is in development and the actors are getting new pages each day I am there to follow along. So if they ever get lost and forget a line they can shout out “line” and I will give them what they need to say.

Q: Have you seen the show before?

A: I have not and I’m pretty excited. I’ve been hearing a lot about it, mostly from people who have been working on it. I have heard there is a drag queen, it is funny and that it has gotten darker in the past few days.

Q: What was it about The Public that made you want to do an internship here?

A: It’s kind of the coolest place to be if you are into theater. I’m in the special artistic projects department, which does a ton of cool outreach programs, like Public Forum. It’s something that other places don’t have.
