Q: So your dad tells me you are taking a playwriting class at Harvard and you recommended this to your family—what was about it that seemed interesting?
A: (left) Yeah! I’m really excited to see it. My professor, Sam Marks, who is also an incredible Playwright, told me I have to see this play. We read another one of Annie Baker’s plays in that class, The Aliens, and I loved it. I’m going in cold, I don’t really know much about it, but he said The Flick is amazing. It is a must see.
Q: After taking that class will there be certain things that you are looking for when you watch tonight?
A: (left) I guess just seeing how time works in this play. From the other one that we read I know she does a lot of really cool things with pauses and stretching out time. I was reading that this play just shows you the most exquisite parts of life—I guess I’m excited for that. It’s going to be great. I know it!
