Q: What show are you here to see today?
A: The Institute of Memory. I had seen the review in the New York Times which talked a lot about the staging. I am really interested in the use of different lighting and the typewriter that is apparently suspended in the middle of the stage. I don’t know what that is all about. I wanted to see it and with $25 tickets you really can’t beat that.
Q: Are you seeing anything else during the festival?
A: I’m seeing a dance performance tomorrow that is based on what happened in Rwanda.
Q: Why is it important for you to come and support events that happen during Under the Radar Festival?
A: I think people expect theater to be really expensive in the city and a lot of the Broadway stuff is. You have to support Off Broadway stuff, which is in my opinion, more exciting most of the time than the stuff on Broadway.
